Charles Fulcher
Charles attended Great Falls High, designing the yearbook cover his senior year in 1978. He took classes from Jean Price, and worked hard on refining his photo-realistic style through portraits. He continued to work on his skills, teaching himself how to play bass, harmonica, and mandolin. After graduation, Charles decided to take a couple of years off to play music, all the while still drawing and entering work into the state fair. It was then that Charles realized his true passion was art. He attended college at Montana State University in Bozeman. College introduced Charles to new mediums, including sculpting, jewelry making, painting, print making, graphic design and illustration. Charles earned a BA in Art/Graphic Design, all the while playing and singing in various bands. Charles traveled to California, where he spent two years in Los Angeles as a freelance illustrator, specializing in marker renderings. After moving back to Montana, Charles entered the world of advertising, working as a graphic designer and art director. At that same time, Charles became a member of a popular country band Pollo Loco. Their local success catapulted them into the spotlight, and allowed them to compete on the national level finishing 3rd in the Country Showdown. They even played as the House band for one month at a 5-star hotel in Taiwan! Charles has been a professional graphic designer for 25 years and presently owns Lodestone Advertising, Serving as CEO/Creative Director.
